Three weekends in June - three races!

Since it began, the Crondall Triathlon has been raising funds for local charities, organisations and good causes. At the same time, many of our competitors take part to raise funding for their own causes and other charities.

This year one of our competitors, Adrian Collyer, is taking his fund raising efforts to new levels and over three weekends in June he is competing in three separate endurance races!

He starts with our own event on the 3rd of June (400m swim x 23km cycle x 5km run). The following weekend (10th June) Adrian is taking part in his first ever Ironman - the Cotswold 70.3 (1.9km swim x 90km bike x 23.2km run) and on the 17th June he will compete in the Royal Windsor Olympic Triathlon (1.5km swim x 40km cycle x 10km run)!!
Adrian is attempting this amazing trio of triathlons to raise money for the Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity, which was formed in 2003 to brighten the lives of children who are living with serious or life-limiting illnesses, between the ages of 3-18, across the United Kingdom.

Adrian says: "I’ve trying to raise money for this amazing charity by setting myself a real challenge that is not going to be easy! I have two children of my own and when I look at them I know I can make a difference to less fortunate families. This will be really tough as only 18 months ago I was doing nothing and over 19 stone!"

We want to wish Adrian every success in this amazing challenge and hope everyone will cheer him on as he makes his way around the course.
